Theatre Battery Presents

Milk Like Sugar

By Kirsten Greenidge, Directed by Logan Ellis

This heartfelt, hilarious, and ultimately devastating story about teenage pregnancy from Kirsten Greenidge marked Theatre Battery’s first engagement with professional actors and designers from the greater Seattle region. In addition to giving enthusiastic performances, I most remember how fun it was to work with this acting ensemble. It was the first production on which the team at Theatre Battery experienced an audience consisting (on many performances) of majority people of color. We recognized the gift of our Kent community and saw a path forward into our future projects and increased commitment to accessibility, with Radical Hospitality being instated at the company the following season.
