Water by the Spoonful

This was the first production of Hudes’ Pulitzer Prize winning play in San Francisco, and it performed at the ACT Costume Shop on Market Street (very near to the heart of the Tenderloin) with free admission to all performances. Actors Caleb Cabrera, Sango Tajima, Anthony Agresti, and I served as co-producers. Focused entirely on the language and performances, the staging was minimal by design, situated in the round with four black chairs as the set. An online cocaine addict support group collides with a rich tragic drama in a family story that spans multiple continents.
