Year of the Rooster

This is a classic tale of hubris about cockfighting in the deep south, and the central player is a rooster named Odysseus Rex. Produced at Impact Theatre under the fearless Artistic Directorship of Melissa Hillman and in the basement of a Berkeley pizza bar, Year of the Rooster was hardcore violent fringe theater. I learned about working a tight space, rooster combat rituals, and chicken nugget prop design.
